| Do you have to pay for residency programs in med school? I understand that you get paid while in your residency program, just like a job, but do you have to pay for the actual residency? Like tuition or anything? Or do you just have to worry about paying back your med school? |

| when you get "matched" to residency programs, they pay for your residency like an educational stipend (and few hospitals offer hospital-supplied housing)....the pay will probably not be much though especially since you'll most likely have medical school loans to pay back by then and other expenses (ie. housing, bills, insurance and such) but those are the sacrifices you'll have to make in the beginning when you're actually getting your feet wet but it gets better from there. but just hang in there, everything will work itself out in the end... just be proud of how far you've come and think positively even through the rough times good luck! |
