| Uk Student Needs Help, Will Be So Appreciated Dear reader
I graduated with a 2.1 in biochemistry from a UK university. Prior that I did A levels and did quite well in those.
A 2.1 (upper second class which is 60% to 70%) is the second best grade you can get, after a 1 (or first class). I do not know at all what GPA this is equivalent to?
From my research I deduced that in order to apply to one of the competitive medical school in USA, I will need to either do another degree in the USA or a post B program. In any case, I will have to take semesters in physics, arts, literature, generally, things I have not covered in my biochemistry degree.
If I get into a post B program do they grade you with a GPA score at the end?
Will I have another chance at a higher GPA score (assuming that a 2.1 is like a 3.0 to 3.5) in a post b program that will be considered seriously by a medical school such as cornell?
or do I need to enroll on a full bachelors degree for 4 additional years in the USA to be graded in GPA???
If I do another 4 years in USA I will be like 26 or 27 when applying to medical school...too old. |
